As a Birthday present from my man I was taken to the Festive afternoon tea at Claridges hotel, Mayfair. It has been top on my wish list for a very long time and it was an Art Deco dream come true.

It's beauty is breathtaking and the service is impeccable, they made us feel like Royalty. I still can't get over that they have some one to turn the taps on for you when you wash your hands in the bathroom!

The food was amazing, as you would expect but we couldn't finish it all so they very kindly gave us a Claridges 'doggy bag' and a Christmas baubal containing specialist tea to take home. The next morning I got to treat myself to a Claridges scone for breakfast.

The Lanvin Christmas tree was lovely and kitsch (make sure you watch the video on the claridges website, it's so cute), but I will always regret not going to see the Galliano 'under the sea' themed tree last year.

Thank you Claridges for keeping the Art Deco magic alive for little dreamers like me, please don't ever change.

Thank you Craig for giving me the best Birthday ever and making me feel so special.

I wore:
1940's Crepe dress: Beyond Retro
Black 1930's velvet coat: Beyond Retro
Black velvet Muff: Beyond Retro
Necklace (worn around my head): Winchester Market
Gold Dipped Orchid broach: A present from my Mum, originally from Malaysia.

  1. Happy birthday, Kelly-Marie! I'm so sorry I missed the exact date. Claridges looks like my kind of place, too. It's spacious and elegant and I am a long time lover of Art Deco. I'm so glad you went there and had a wonderful time. It's always nice to catch glimpses of you, dear friend. Happy holidays!

  2. Fabulous! And you absolutely look the part - stunning. This was already next on my list of decadent hotels to visit for drinks (after having already been to the Savoy) and now I'm even more keen.
