Serpents

The Snake Charmer
It will soon be the Chinese new year of the Snake. To celebrate here are some seductive Serpent pictures for you.

In so many cultures (aside from their vindictiveness) they are considered one of the worlds wisest animals (mostly because of their herbal knowledge) and have been seen as being close to the Divine.

They are also associated with Fertility, Healing, Estoric Knowledge, Spiritual Discovery and in China especially, Finacial Security.

I love snakes and find them so fascinating but I realise that for some of you this may have made you a little queasy, they're not everyone's cup of tea. I hope the sexy ladies may have helped a little!

All these images can be found on my Serpents Pinterest board, where I have written the original picture information and source. Some of them are unknown so please let me know if you are aware of the origin.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  1. Sarah Bernhardt's snake bracelet, designed by Alphonse Mucha and made by jeweller Georges Fouquet, is one of the most memorable pieces of the Belle Epoque.

  2. AAAAAARRRGGHH KELLY NOOO!!!! My number one fear is snakes! I feel so conflicted now...because the ladies are so beautiful...but the snakes are freaking me owwwwt girl!
Apart from that mini heart attack I just had, they are such a wondrous creature. More wondrous if I could get past the goosebumps and palpitations that I associate with them. I much prefer the year of the rabbit! Lovely imagery though xx

  3. lovely snake ladies,
i made a snake lady act last year,
i think for me the snake represents, at least in that act, my internal demons, so it is always liberating for me to perform it and hopefully entertaining for the audience
